Bojangles Presents is the arm of Bojangles Music School dedicated to producing events that highlight Houston’s rich local music scene, showcase aspiring performers, and connect people of all ages to the dynamic music history rooted in the Bayou City.
A Night for Guy
Part musical showcase, part intimate vigil, A Night for Guy is Houston’s celebration of the life and songs of Guy Clark. Performances from top Houston musicians and a few extra special guests make for an unforgettable night: Past surprises have included Lyle Lovett, Hayes Carll, Verlon Thompson, and Shawn Camp.
A not-for-profit event, A Night for Guy fairly compensates all performers and donates proceeds to 90.1 KPFT, Houston’s only independent radio station.
A Day for Guy
The first annual A Day for Guy celebrated songs the legendary Guy Clark wrote and his favorites he didn’t write on what would have been his 81st birthday, Sunday, November 6, 2022, in the Continental Club’s backyard in Houston. Produced by Bojangles Music School and the same team behind the acclaimed A Night for Guy, A Day for Guy featured performances by top local musicians and Bojangles students, underscoring the staying power of Clark’s music and the depth of talent working in the Bayou City today.
All ages attended––and children’s admission was free.
Proceeds from A Day for Guy benefitted 90.1 KPFT, Houston’s only independent radio station.
