Hudson Mueller

Instructor

Even in a room full of talent, Hudson Mueller stands out. An acclaimed singer-songwriter, Hudson has the musical chops, sheer intellect, and unfailing empathy that make a compelling artist––and a great teacher.

An Austin native, Hudson graduated from the University of Texas at Austin’s prestigious Plan II program. He first turned artistic heads with The Hudsons, two-time winners of the Austin Music Awards Best Folk Band. Then, Hudson relocated to Brooklyn, where he continued writing, performing, and teaching for a decade and a half.

For more than 20 years, Hudson has taught music to all ages and skill levels. He’s also a passionate believer that it’s never too late to begin learning how to play.

Houston’s diverse music scene has warmly welcomed Hudson since his move to the city in March of 2024. He can be heard playing several nights a week in a variety of Houston’s favorite listening rooms. Hudson will release his anticipated next album, Welcome to Earth, in March 2025.

At Bojangles Music School, Hudson teaches all levels of guitar, voice, banjo, harmonica, beginner piano, songwriting, and more. “There’s nothing more fulfilling than seeing a student discover their own voice, express themselves through sound, or master something they once thought impossible,” Hudson says. “Music has always been my way of telling stories and connecting with the world, and teaching gives me the chance to pass that gift on to others.”
